Carmen Freemantle

I have extensive experience in the local and international television and features area.

I have worked as a front-end producer, post producer, and editor and come from ten years of editing experience in Avid, Premiere Pro, and Final Cut Pro. This has grounded me in a good understanding of technical knowledge from codecs to delivery specifications.

I am currently a post producer and supervisor. I have worked on features such as Frank and Fearless, Stroomop, Thys & Trix, and Lake Placid: Legacy and was the front-end producer for the South African leg on the international series for Hulu, The Looming Tower.

I believe that acquisition should be determined by delivery format to best streamline post-production and to better manage clients’ budgets.

I have a deep love for storytelling and the art of feature films born out of an early introduction to set life. This love grew to the point that I went to study film and television at Rand Afrikaans University (Now The University of Johannesburg). There, I fell in love with post-production and the type of people who work in the industry. To me, every artist is part of the post-production family and family is a cornerstone to life
